There you have it… 12 awesome motivating quotes to get you going but here is the thing… as you read these quotes I imagine one or two of them, maybe even more, might ignite some fire within you but honestly… how long will that fire burn?

You can read all of the motivational quotes that you want… you can hire a life coach or a mentor to push you along every day, but again… how long will the inspiration that you get from them last?

To be motivated is to be self-motivated… which means that it is up to you to decide why it is that you want the things that you want. It is up to you to come up with your own reasons for your pursuits and not rely on anyone else (or their reasons) to get you there.

Yesterday in a session with a client, my client told me of a HUGE goal that she is setting for herself for next February. As her life coach and someone who has been working with her for over a year, I have to say that I was astounded not because she came up with a new goal but she came up with a goal that is completely outside of everything that she usually does… in other words, it is a whole new thing in her life.

But as she was talking about her goal, she started to list off all of her whys and reasons for wanting to do it… all of the factors that will keep her motivated to see this project through for the next several months. I have to say I was very proud of my client for not only coming up with the goal but also creating her own self-motivation to get her there.

I love it when a client “gets it.”

It doesn’t matter if I write out 12 awesome motivating quotes or 200… sure they are fun to read but in the end, it’s up to you to search within yourself and discover you own well of motivation and inspiration. Trust me it’s there… you just need to dig a little maybe.

As for me… this is one of my all time favorites…
