Is It A Dream Or Is It A Goal?

Do you have dreams or do you have goals and do you know the difference between the two?

Let us say there is something that you really want in life. Maybe a new job, a new career altogether, a new or different relationship, or maybe it is to live in a place where you have always wanted to live.

Is it a dream or is it a goal?

Well, it all depends.

One of my favorite Anthony Robbins quotes is, “A goal is nothing more than a dream with a deadline.”

I like to turn that around and say, “A dream is a goal but without intention or action.” When we dream of things it is with our eyes closed but when we work towards a goal it is with open eyes, clear intention, focus, and with steady and consistent action. Or in other words, a dream is passive… a goal is action. Dreams are in your head, goals you write down on paper and pursue.

Dreams are important as they are usually born of inspired thought but until you commit to a dream, or act on it, it shall forever remain just a dream. If you allow your dreams to gestate, and then start moving on it, the chances are you are going to manifest amazing results. Everything starts as dream but transforming that dream into a goal is what gets you to your final destination, wherever that may be.

It is good to dream of a better world but in the end, it is your goal and your subsequent actions that will change the world.

Take your dreams and turn them into goals if you want to create the idea life and future that you want to experience. If you need help, then read Why It’s Important to Write Down Your Goals, and get started on it right away…

Turn your dreams into goals; don’t dream your life and all of your wonderful opportunities away.
