It’s Never Too Late

it's never too lateI was asked in an interview recently, “What is the best first step to take if you want to change your life?” I honestly answered, “I don’t know… but I know the best time and that’s right now.” It’s never too late to amputate yourself from your past and move on. It’s never too late to begin to build the life you want.

You have plenty of life to be lived. It doesn’t matter if you are 20, 30, 40, or even 80, it’s never too late to change your charted course. There is no age limit. It’s never too late to live a life that you are proud of as long as you begin right now.

If you feel like you have been wasting your life, there is good news… you are not stuck – as long as right now you decide to not be. Right now, choose to live a life that is authentic, a life that you are excited and passionate about, a life that adds value to the world rather than subtracting from it.

You can change or you can stay the same. It’s never too late to begin being who are capable of being. The timing is never perfect as there is never a perfect time. The present is the only time that you really have. You can’t make decisions in the past, nor can you make them in future, you can only make them in the now, and as long and you choose to do something now, it’s never too late.

You can make the best or the worst of today, it’s up to you, so you might as well make the best of it. Do the things that scare you a little bit. Do the things that scare you a lot! Allow yourself to feel the excitement of life by living courageously, authentically, and taking some risks that you might never have considered.

If you think that that you are too late in being able to change your life and move on in a new direction you are selling yourself short. You have plenty of time, even if you have only one day… just go for it!

As long as you have a heartbeat and as long as you are on this side of the dirt, there is always a chance, an opportunity, and an opening for change or to begin something new. In all areas of your life your options are only as limited as you choose to believe they are.

Every morning when you open your eyes and your feet hit the floor is another chance to start all over again. It’s never too late…
