Letting Go Of Failure

letting go of failureEverybody wants to succeed and nobody ever wants to fail as we live a society where failure AND success are seen in very black and white terms. The truth is that failure IS a part of success and letting go of failure or failures along the way is mandatory.

Letting Go Of Failure

One of the greatest truths in life is that if you want to succeed you must also learn to live with failure. The reason being is that you learn wisdom way more readily than you do from your successes.

Show me someone who has never fallen down, never messed up given task or fallen short of a goal and I will show you a person who really isn’t even trying at life… a person who is ultimately playing it safe, and playing it safe is playing to lose.

Mistakes, faux pas, personal defeats and setbacks are unavoidable in this thing we call life. But if we allow them to keep us down or refuse to get back up after them, then at best we are condemning ourselves to a life full of regret and unanswered questions.

The irony of it all is this… the greatest lessons that we will learn in life will be borne of our greatest mistakes and failures.

If you are reading this then chances are that you are going to foul stuff up along your path. Congratulations, you are human! Knowing that, you might as well accept it now and start learning that letting go of failure is just part of the entire process of life and then past that comes the process of moving on.

Maybe I oversimplify the principle but as I see it, if I follow just one rule which is to always do my best, and as long as I did my best at anything, even if goes to hell in a hand basket, I will still have peace of mind. Now I don’t intentionally set out to goof things up or fail but I have a peaceful acceptance that for the rest of my life, things like that are going to happen… probably less than when I was younger… sure… but mistakes are still going to happen, failure will happen, but that letting go of failure is completely up to me.

Do your best. You may fail and you may not but if you do fail, learn from the experience. Start over and do your best again, again… you might succeed you might not… but keep at it until you do succeed. Just remember that after each failure that letting go of failure is what you have to do to get back up and back into the ring again.

In life, failure is mandatory… letting go of failure and how you do that is completely up to you but letting go of failure is the most important thing that you can master on the path to your success and an awesome life.
