Motivation – 10 Awesome Quotes

Motivation – 10 Awesome QuotesMotivation is an inside job and it is a common misconception that a coach’s job, whether they be a life coach or even an athletic coach, to provide that motivation for those whom they work with.

It reminds me of one of my favorite lines from the movie, Chariots of Fire when Sam Mussabini was speaking to Harold Abrahams… “You can’t put in what god left out.” That not only applies to talent but also to motivation as well.

There really is not a thing that anyone could ever say or do which could truly motivate you. They might be able to inspire your for a spell which might move you to take some action for a day or two but that’s about it. Any further motivation has to be generated on your end by you.

Motivation doesn’t come from an inspiring speaker, or a brilliant blog. It comes from inside of you. Let me repeat that… The best kind of motivation comes from within not from without. Motivation is like happiness in the sense that nobody can do it for you. Nobody can make you happy so in the same way nobody else can make you motivated (or not motivated in some cases.)
