Others Question, You Decide

Someone said the nicest thing that anyone has ever said to me a few weeks ago. I had hit a rough day with and was feeling particularly beat up in regards to my business and another enterprise that I am involved in right now.

I was at a point of just wanting to give everything up out of frustration and my perceived lack of progress in everything. After I had finished venting about it all, Melissa – my mate, reminded me to keep at it, and then she added, “I completely believe in you and what you are doing.” Her comment hit me so hard, and to be honest it took me a day or two fully recognize the power of her message before I made a conscious effort and a point to thank her and to tell her just how much what she said meant to me.

I hope that you too have people in your life who see the greatness in you and your potential to do phenomenal things. How do we even get by without the people who see what we are capable of and encourage us to do our best, the people who are our greatest cheerleaders when we have hour moments of doubt who keep urging us on?

But then again, maybe you have a number of detractors in your life who doubt you and are constant critics when it comes your capabilities and what you can and can not achieve. Sometimes they sit quietly in wait, watching and waiting for the moment you “fail” just to have the satisfaction of pointing out your folly.

These people seem to exist to kill your dreams one way or the other.

When it comes to what you can really do in life, others may question but you decide what is to be or not. It is good to have amazing support but that alone will not elevate you to the next level.

Others question, you decide…

You decide to set goals or you don’t. You try to be better tomorrow than you were today or you don’t. You take action or you don’t. You allow roadblocks to stop you or you don’t. You follow your dreams… or you don’t.

Allow those who support you to encourage you, and hopefully their cheers will drown out the noise of your critics but in the end, it is you who will decide your level of success in life. That is your responsibility. You decide…
