What You Focus On Matters

what you focus on mattersWhat you focus on matters and it might be the only thing that matters when it comes to the quality of life you live and the happiness that you experience on a daily basis.

If you focus on what you don’t have then guess what you are always going to experience and feel? That’s right… lack, emptiness, and disappointment. But if you focus on all of the many things that you actually do have, well, chances are that you will also be grateful and feel more abundant.

Which would you rather feel?

What You Focus On Matters

Don’t focus on how hard your life is while wishing it were easier. Focus on the many opportunities that you do have that others might not.

Don’t focus on your lack of luck in life. Luck is when preparation and opportunity meet and come together… Focus on making your own luck!

Don’t focus on the randomness of life while wanting things to be more comfortable or secure. Focus on the magical and unknown aspects of life while living each day as a day with the chance for a great and wonderful surprise. As one of my friends once told me, “Life is a mystery to be lived, not a problem to be solved.”

Focus on your own life and stay in your own lane. Don’t waste precious time wishing that you were someone else or living someone else’s life. Trust me… the nightmare that you think your life is… is probably a DREAM for many on this planet.

Don’t focus on becoming “more patient” or even praying for it… it seems when we pray for patience those prayers are often answered with many opportunities to LEARN patience. Focus on peace of mind instead and accepting what is for exactly the way it is.

Don’t focus on your lack of time to get everything done. Instead, focus on making the best of the time that you do have and prioritize your life accordingly. Put the big rocks in the jar first, the things that matter, and then worry about the rest after that.

What you focus on matters so focus on being better, focus on being stronger, and focus on being closer to achieving your goals and dreams today than you were yesterday.

What you focus on matters – what are you focusing on today?
