Your Breakout Moment

One thing is guaranteed, if you work hard, continually sharpen your skills, show up and do your best every day, and never give up, regardless of what your goal is, eventually you will have your very own breakout moment.

It is what every successful sales person, entrepreneur, athlete, artist, blogger, author, and most people strive for in general. That moment where they go from silently toiling away in anonymity to being well known by everyone and their name is heard everywhere.

It’s what a lot of people work for – to be recognized, to be in front of the pack, to finally breakthrough.

Maybe there is a “lucky break” involved where they were at the right place at the right time. That break might happen after a few weeks, a few months, or even a few years. But it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out how that leap occurs because in the event of a “lucky break” more than likely it took a lot of consistent and diligent work to get to that particular time and place for everything to eventually line up. And when that magic moment happens, don’t minimize it as just a coincidence, or just a fortunate event, the chances are you knew exactly what you were doing all along to put yourself in the path of great opportunity. Give yourself credit for that regardless of how quickly or how slowly it took  you to get there.

It is impossible almost to predict when a breakout moment will happen, but one thing is certain, if you give up on your dreams, that breakout moment will never happen, ever. As for me, I tend to believe breakout moments like these, when everything shifts are inevitable if you do the work to get there. It all echos back to what my grandfather told me before I left home at age 18 to go into the Air Force and begin my life… “As long as you do your best, everything else will turn out just fine.”

Stay on your path, keep working hard, perfect your craft, maintain a positive attitude, never give up, and you will give yourself the chance you need to find your own breakout moment where you instantly shift from obscurity to success and recognition.

It might not happen tomorrow, and it might not even happen next week, but one day…
